Sam McRoberts Bio
My name is Sam McRoberts, and I am the author of Screw the Zoo, a book about how to escape from the various mental and societal cages that keep us trapped.
Who am I, and why on Earth should you give a rat’s ass about what I have to say?
At the age of 24 I was making $8.40 an hour, quite literally breaking my back at a job I hated more than words can express. I had no goals, no direction, and absolutely no idea what I wanted from life.
Four years later I was making over $100,000 per year as a digital marketing strategist. In the last few years I’ve increased my average income per hour worked by over 1,200%, and I’ve made more than $1,000 per hour on a number of consulting projects.
I’ve guest lectured at Brigham Young University (one of the best schools for entrepreneurship in the country), I’ve been quoted by major publications as an expert in my field (Forbes, Entrepreneur, Inc., American Express OPEN Forum, QuickSprout, Moz, and Search Engine Journal, to name a few), and I’ve managed Internet marketing campaigns for hundreds of companies, including a number of the Fortune 500.
In 2014, I traveled all over the world with my wife and son, and worked an average of 15 hours per week when I wasn’t traveling. And did I mention that I did all this while self-employed, supporting a family on a single income, and without the benefit of a college degree?
So how, you might ask, did I make such a radical transformation over the course of a few years, with no degree and no formal training in my field?
This book is the answer; every lesson, philosophy, and mind-hack that I’ve learned along the way, and a step-by-step guide to achieving the same freedom in your life.
